Book and Bake Sale

With over 30,000 fiction and non-fiction books categorized and alphabetized, the Friends of the Norfolk Library Annual Book and Bake Sale is no ordinary book sale. Seek out bestsellers, cookbooks, non-fiction, and so much more!

When - When - Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or shop early at the Friends Preview Sale on Friday, April 24 from 6 - 9 p.m. (Note: 2009 Friends Membership is required for admission to the Friday night sale. Memberships starting at $15.00 are available at the door beginning at 5:00 p.m.) Current 2009 Friends members are admitted at no charge. Be sure to bring your library card with sticker as proof of your membership.

Where - inside the massive Norfolk Department of Public Works garage, 33 Medway Branch, Norfolk.

It's worth the trip to Norfolk, the small town with the very BIG book sale!

The Friends of the Norfolk Library Annual Book and Bake Sale features over 30,000 used paperbacks and hardcover books in addition to many special collection books for adults and children. We sell current popular titles, the classics, and an extensive collection of children's books. A highlight of the sale is the ``Booktique,'' a special area with higher quality books for adults and children, as well as gift items.

Prices range from $.50-$2 for used books and higher prices for special collection books. Our Booktique offers high value books and collector's items. Saturday's event also offers the sale of homemade baked goods. Funds raised from the book and bake sale benefit the Norfolk Library.

From Boston and points north: Take Route 95 south to Route 1 south. Follow Route 1 past Gillette Stadium and turn right at light on Pine Street (turn is right after Lafayette House Restaurant on your right) then turn right on Route 115. Follow Route 115 straight to the center of Norfolk (you will cross Route 1A). As you approach the Norfolk town common you will reach a roundabout. Take the first right and proceed to the next roundabout. Take the third right in the second roundabout. Follow this up Main Street to Boardman. Take a right onto Boardman then left onto Medway Branch. 33 Medway Branch is the last building on the left with plenty of parking in the lot and on the street.

From Providence and points south: Take Route 95 North to Route 1 south. From Route 495: Take the King Street exit off Route 495. Stay on King Street into Franklin. It will become Chestnut Street as it crosses Route 140. Stay on same street into Norfolk where it becomes Main Street. Take a left onto Boardman then left onto Medway Branch. 33 Medway Branch is the last building on the left with plenty of parking in the lot and on the street.
